Hi there,
I couldnt help but read your comments it seems that you are a club trying to find people to teach. Well I am the president of Kendo Club at Central Michigan University and I would say the easiest way to get students (aka members) would be to just first find a handful of poeple who are interested, then throw up a bunch of posters and adds everywhere possible that peoples eyes would run too. And before you know it you will get 1 phone call, 2 phone calls, and so on. Also go to many events, put on demonstrations, be active. I sometimes (i know i really shouldnt) carry around my bokken in the public, and when someone asks about it, i tell them. i hope i have given you a few ideas as to maybe gather a few members to your club. If you dont mind i would like to add you to my LJ list, so if you might have any other questions you can ask anytime. i wish you good luck!

Yo you should try and do what the Michigan Kendo Club Pres said. Also, me and a couple of guys are trying to make our own Kendo club at my university in Toronto. You should first try to find other peopole who take Kendo. You will be surprised to find a couple of people who take Kendo. Also, you should go and wear your Hakama and Gi and promote Kendo. Also, if you can try getting a demo. If i live in your area i would help but it seems like your in the states and im in Canada, lol so that aint gonna work. I have joined your community so ill check in with you from time to time. If you got q's let me kno
